Nestor Martinez studied Fine Arts and graduated as an Architect in his country of Colombia, South America.

As a child he learned to ride his own horse (Pisa-pasito). Since his youth, became interested in riding horses on the track. For over 20 years, he has worked at Advertising Agencies as an Art Director. As an Architect, Martinez works in construction, building more than 100 apartments.

Since 2005, Martinez has been living in Tampa, Florida. In the same year, Nestor started working with mostly acrylic on canvas at an Art and Design Company. There he learned to paint with sponge—at a technique he had never used before in his works.
